Wants Vs. Needs, Plus a New Listing!
Recently I’ve been feeling more confident in my choice to take this on as my career 8 years ago.
It feels really great to be good at what I do! I love helping people make big life decisions like buying and selling a home, because I love meeting people and translating their real estate dreams into a plan to reach them. Honestly, it doesn’t get better than that!
One of the best things I’ve learned as a realtor is how to categorize & prioritize Wants vs. Needs when buying or selling a home.
I know for sure that these lists are unique for every person, and that it’s a lot easier to make your own list with help from someone who knows what is available (and what it will cost!) in the current market.
Clarity about what is a nice-to-have Want, like a fireplace, and what is a non-negotiable Need, like a location with good schools, makes it so much easier to choose a neighborhood, negotiate on price, and do pretty much anything else that happens in a real estate transaction.
I always start by getting to know my clients so we can gain this clarity together. This is great because you don’t need to know all the answers first, because I know all the right questions to ask!
If you want help making your Wants vs. Needs list, call/email/text and we’ll get it moving!
My newest listing for sale is the Pied-à-terre Extraordinaire at One Cheesman Place.
This 1-bedroom, 1-bath condo has been thoughtfully and completely remodeled in 2025. Perched in the crown jewel of Denver’s beloved Cheesman Park, unit 10B of One Cheesman Place offers an exceptional opportunity to own a beautifully reimagined city retreat.
Features I love:
The screened-in, oversized balcony boasts some of the most spectacular views in Denver, showcasing sweeping 180-degree views that capture our beautiful mountain range and the very best of city and park living.
The amenities, such as an outdoor pool, on-site gym, enclosed tenant-only underground garage, private laundry areas on every floor, rentable guest rooms, free off-street parking lot for guests, and a sweeping penthouse lounge complete with a full kitchen
Who I think this home is perfect for:
A buyer whose dog needs some outdoor space to run around and access Cheesman Park right outside their doorstep.
Collectors! This condo has drop-dead built-in storage for a buyer who loves to display their treasures.
Perfect for someone looking for a lock-and-leave home away from home.
