Denver Pet Parade at Tennyson Street Fall Fest Supporting Local Pets

[Denver, Colorado]—The 8th Annual Denver Pet Parade will bring 200+ costumed pets and their owners to the Tennyson Street Fall Fest on Saturday, October 18 to spread cheer and raise funds for Colorado Pet Pantry, a charity that helps feed at-risk pets to keep them at home and out of shelters.

“The Pet Parade is one of the highlights of my year,” says Liz Rossof, real estate broker at the Denver Nook and the event’s sponsor. “I love seeing how creative the costumes get, and it is so much fun to watch all the pets marching down Tennyson Street.”

In 2024, Rossof raised nearly $7,000 by inviting people to vote for their favorite costume—the winner was Herman, Prince of Darkness, an 8-year-old English bulldog who lives in Denver’s Whittier neighborhood.

Donations go to the Colorado Pet Pantry, whose mission is to temporarily feed Colorado pets, allowing families to increase their ability to care for pets to keep them out of shelters and with their families. Every dollar donated is worth $5 in pet food.

“I love supporting the great work that Colorado Pet Pantry does,” says Rossof. “Pets are one of the best parts of a home, and it’s so meaningful to be able to keep more pets with their families and out of shelters.”

Rossof started the Pet Parade to provide a way for people who didn’t have children to participate in Tennyson Street Halloween activities, which at the time were predominantly kid-focused. Over the years the event has featured plenty of dogs and cats, and also pigs, tarantulas, birds, snakes, and other pets.

Denver Pet Parade 2025 is free to attend as part of the Tennyson Street Fall Fest, and donations can be made along with votes for your favorite costumed pets. Owners and pets who want to participate can register at www.denvernook.com/petparade2025.
