Market Update June 2025: Inventory Up, Anxiety Too

Inventory in Denver is up these days, and one of the most noticeable results of the quick shift is that the expectations of buyers and sellers in this market are not quite the same, which has the potential to complicate transactions.

Add to that the heightened level of economic uncertainty, and you’ve got a market where more people are bringing some anxiety to the bargaining table.

I think the current market is really showing the value of three things in particular:

Communication

I’ve been relying on the great relationships I’ve built with other realtors through positive experiences over the years to help navigate the emotional complexities of deals now. Being able to speak honestly with other realtors and convey those realities to my clients is helping keep deals on track.

Patience

While there is a lot of inventory right now, deals aren’t necessarily moving fast because there seems to be more opportunity for negotiation, whether that’s about maintenance needs or list prices. (Though it’s always important to move decisively when we know what we want!)

Realistic Expectations

In this market, it’s extra important for realtors to be on the same page as clients, which I make sure to do throughout the process of buying and selling (you can learn more about what it’s like to buy a home with me here. I always seek the best for my clients, but I also do not sugarcoat the realities I see through my experience and expertise to help them figure out the best way to reach their goals.

Even with the shifting market, things are busy at the Denver Nook! If you have real estate goals, especially if you are looking to buy right now, please call / email / text and we’ll start the process!
